12-Step Group

A 12-step group is a mutual support group based on the principles of the 12 steps originally developed by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). These groups provide a structured framework for individuals struggling with various forms of addiction, such as alcoholism, drug addiction, or behavioral addictions like gambling or overeating. 12-step groups provide a structured and supportive environment where first responders can address issues of addiction, trauma, and mental health in a way that complements professional treatment and support systems. By participating in these groups, first responders can enhance their resilience, improve their mental health, and build healthier lifestyles.
